A healthy retina and uvea are essential for normal vision. A number of diseases
can damage the retina or uvea, which may lead to impaired vision or loss of vision.
One of these diseases is posterior segment uveitis (inflammation of the uvea). Another is retinal
vein occlusion (RVO), which is a blockage that prevents normal blood flow out of
the eye.
